CATHERINE A. O’CONNELL, a Partner with the Firm’s Commercial, Liability and Transportation Practice Groups, has over 20 years of litigation experience. Her practice is concentrated on third party liability defense and she routinely defends construction companies, including general contractors and subcontractors. Her practice also includes the defense of automobile and premises liability cases.
Ms. O’Connell lectures to insurance companies on issues involving the investigation and defense of employer liability claims. Ms. O’Connell is also an Executive Board member and Secretary for Chicago HOPES for Kids, a nonprofit organization that empowers children experiencing homelessness by providing academic support in Chicago’s homeless shelters. Ms. O’Connell is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She is a graduate of The University of Illinois - Urbana (B.S.) and The John Marshall Law School (J.D.).
Ms. O’Connell is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the Woman’s Bar Association of Illinois.
